OUTDOOR AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR ERROR
Cause
Open /Shorted Sensor.
Solution
Check ohm reading of sensor.
Cause
Sensor disconnect.
Solution
Check for connection of sensor to Main PCB.
Cause
Sensor harness damage.
Solution
Inspect the sensor harness for damage/breaks.
Check for moisture around connector.
DETAILS BELOW:
When there is an Outdoor Air Sensor on the unit it will typically be in a 4-wire harness at the PCB. 2 wires are the Outdoor Air Sensor and the other 2 are your Pipe Sensor.
*Sensor will be located in a holder on the Evaporator tubing.
Note: If Sensor tests correctly and there are no connection/wiring issues found then replace PCB that sensor is connected to.
