Unit is getting cold, freezer temp -3 and is set at zero(0), FF section 38. And full frost pattern at the Evap, but error code is display F DS, indicating issues with defrost sensor.
According to the chart the higher the temperature the lower the resistance goes.
I have a chart that goes to 104F and freezer sensor should read 1.4kohms at that temperature.
you should never have a sensor that reads zero ohms as that is a direct short and will cause an error code.
so if you do have a sensor that is zero ohms then replace it because it is defective.
All the freezer and refrigerator sensors on LG models will be in the kohm range at reasonable temperatures
example for freezer -39F 73.29kohms 104F 1.4kohms
example for refrigerator -39F 225.1kohms 104F 6.2kohms
F5 error message 3 days ago, ice melting and not cooling properly. Check main board connectors and plug again. All tested ok. No leaks after test. RNN240202032154
FS error. Went straight to the sensor and got a reading of 28 ohms. Then tested the sensor from Con 7 pins 17 and 20, got a reading of 11k+ ohms. I suspect an issue with the harness in the wall, that or that pins were loose on the harness that goes into the board and when I test them I seated them forward. Pressed freezer and ice plus after plugging it in, no error present. The customer is requesting a sensor anyways.

Would the resistance go to zero if the temperature goes higher? As in making it look like the sensor is shorted – causing the FS error
