Drum Outlet Thermistor Error

Cause

Temperature sensor failure or difference between actual and sensed temperature is significant.

Solution

Measure the resistance of the thermistor for proper values and if does not match for the temperature then replace the thermistor.

DETAILS BELOW:

The Drum outlet sensor on the heat pump dryer, is located on the lower right side of the drum, after the front has been removed…

With the front panel off, to check the thermistor, unplug it from the small harness at its location and set your meter to resistance.

The Thermistor can be checked from the main board also and should have resistance of approximately 10K ± 10% at normal room temp (see chart for exact values) . Be sure to check your model’s schematic to verify test points. Example from WKHC252HBA.
