COMMUNICATION ERROR
DETAILS BELOW:
Definition: Communication issue between the Main PCB and Display PCB.
Cause
Supply Voltage Issue.
Solution
Make sure the supply voltage to the unit is within correct range.
Check the spec sheet to see if the unit is 115V/208V/230V and that the actual supplied voltage +/- 10% of the rated voltage required.
Cause
Wiring issue between the Main PCB and Display PCB.
Solution
– Check that the wiring harness is fully seated and making proper connection with both boards.
(Some models may have more than 1 harness between the 2 boards, check diagram of specific model).
– Inspect harness for breaks or pinched wires. If issue is found replace the wiring harness.
– Reseat Connectors at both boards.
Cause
Defective PCB.
Solution
If no supply voltage or harness issues are found and reseating connectors does not resolve code, replace the Main PCB.

Is this error definition for window type only?
This error definition is not representing the actual error code for model Wall Mounted model that
In my subsidiary (LGEIN) we do not have window type, residential AC only have wall mounted model.
Please kindly revise the error definition and content or give more detail info for each type of model.

This article is for Window AC and not Mini-Split units.
Error Code 05 – Indicates a Communications Issue between the Indoor,Main PCB and the Outdoor,Main PCB, for SRAC, SCAC, Multi and VRF Products..
The Error Details given above may apply to Portable and Window Type RAC Products, I don’t know if this is the case, as we don’t supply these products in our Subsidiary (LGEUK).
The AC error codes on this site are for Window and Portable AC’s. Not Split Units (Mini Splits / Multi V’s).
