TEMP SENSOR ERROR 1 (Duct In)

Cause

Temperature is abnormal

Solution

Check the sensor if its in range or at least is not “open” or “Shorted”

If the sensor is good replace the main PCB.

If the sensor is not good you will need to replace the entire Duct Assembly.

To access the “Duct in” sensor follow these steps

Step 1: Remove the filter.

Step 2: Remove the filter housing cap.

Step 3: Remove the filter housing bezel.

Step 4: Remove the Evaporator grill.

The sensor for “Duct In” is now exposed.

With the top of the unit off, you can easily check the status of the “Duct In” sensor from this connector.

The sensor from this test point will read with the harness:

Plugged in = 16k

Unplugged = 53k

At room temperature approximately 70 degrees.

It also may be necessary to remove the wire retainers onthe connector to get a good connection.
