UNBALANCED ERROR

Cause

The load is too small. The load is out of balance.

Solution

Add additional items to allow the washer to balance the load.

Manually redistribute the load if articles have become tangled

Cause

Heavy articles are mixed with lighter items.

Solution

Wash articles of somewhat similar weight to allow the washer to evenly distribute the load.

Cause

Installation of unit is un-level

Solution

Visually check for loose balance weights, leveling, and mounting if installed on a pedestal.

DETAILS BELOW:

Level the unit. If the floor is weak or uneven this can cause the UE Error.

Check if the shipping bolts have been removed.

If unit is installed on a pedestal make sure it is installed securely.

Using Taptite screws provided with the pedestal.

If screws are missing the part number is 1FTF0403399.

If the screws are not installed properly, noise and vibration may result.

There are a total of 16 screws used to secure the washer to the pedestal. Two on each side of each corner. See the figure below and compare to the installation you are working on.

Check Balance weights, making sure they are secure.

    1. If your front-load washer is showing a UE (Unbalanced Error) during the spin cycle with no load, start by checking the usual suspects:

Machine is level and on a solid surface

Suspension and shock absorbers are intact

      Balance/counterweights are secure

No physical damage or worn components

If everything checks out and you’re still getting the error, it’s possible the issue lies with the main PCB (control board).

The main PCB manages signals from sensors that detect load balance and drum speed. If it’s malfunctioning, it may falsely detect an unbalanced load—even when the drum is empty. In such cases, a faulty hall sensor, wiring issue, or a defective PCB could be to blame.

        1. The UE error code is typically related to laundry loading or product installation issues. If the problem is caused by the stator, Hall sensor, or Main PCB, the unit would more likely display an LE error code instead.
