DRYING BLOWER FAN MOTOR ERROR
Cause
The drying blower fan motor is restricted or locked.
Solution
If the connector for fan motor connection is disconnected, or it has a contact fault. Reconnect the connector and correct the poor connection.
If the harness between the fan motor assembly and controller is open. Replace the fan-motor harness.
Check the motor windings & bearing of the fan motor also.
All the information below is from the WM6998 Washer combo. It is being used as an example. If you have a different model Washer combo it will be basically the same but the wiring colors may be different. On this model the drying blower fan is located in the top right corner. Also the main board and inverter board are located on the bottom front area of the unit and the front bulk head has to be removed to make checks from the boards.
3 phase 24 Vdc Motor Turns on during the dry cycle, Approximately 11 ohms for motor windings
Pin 1 to Pin 2 = 11 ohms ± 10%
Pin 1 to Pin 3 = 11 ohms ± 10%
Pin 2 to Pin 3 = 11 ohms ± 10%
