LEAK ERROR (Front Load Washer)

Special Note: The AE Error has different meanings based on if the Washer is a Standard Front Load or a Heat Pump Combo (Washer/Dryer Combo) unit. Troubleshooting for both styles is described in the article below…

Standard Front Load Washer:

Cause

An internal leak, or an issue with the Flood Safety Switch.

Solution

Check tub and hoses for damage, if no water or source of leak found, inspect Safety Switch.

DETAILS BELOW:

In the event of water in the base of the washer, an error code AE will be
displayed, and the Drain Pump will turn on.

A broken wire/harness, or anything that gets under the float (insects…) can cause
this error.
If no water is found check for these issues. The switch is a normally open switch and sends a 5Vdc signal to the Main board.

HEAT PUMP COMBO MODELS ONLY

FOR HEAT PUMP COMBO UNIT
