Temperature sensor failure or difference between actual and sensed temperature is significant.
Solution
Measure the resistance of the thermistor for proper values and if does not match for the temperature then replace the thermistor.
DETAILS BELOW:
Specific models may have 8 or 6 pin connector on main board. Actual wire color at the thermistor located on the blower housing may have two red wires but will connect to yellow and blue on main harness most of the time. The specific wire colors will vary per model. Consult the wiring diagram for your specific model. A copy of the wiring diagram is usually located inside the main board cover.
Hey John, were you able to fix this issue? I’m having the same problem on mine. If changing thermistor did not work I’m wondering if it’s the control board that’s the issue.
Replaced warring harnesses and thermistor main PCB worked for a month still same issue there must be a very small issue that causes but no proper solution is there yet
Dose the cold air from air duck cause this ?
The cold air could cause a TE2 error code but not a TE1. TE1 should only show if the main pcb is seeing open/short on the thermistor on the blower housing. When the error is showing what is the resistance on the thermistor when checking from the Main PCB? Thats what needs to be checked.

Usually replacing the main board, the thermistor Assembly and the t-stat in the blower works for me, but I did that on this call a month ago and the tE1 error came back

I’ve had te1 error twice on this dryer. I have replaced the board twice this is the third one. First time it lasted 2 weeks, second time it lasted 2 months. Harness/thermistor has correct resistance when checking it from the board.

Pcb replaced and stats and mouth later agian on this on also. Replaced thermistor same no chage do we have bad thermiators.

It was showing correct resistance on thermostat,I replaced main and start, still doing the same, replacing wire harness fixed it.
My dryer model number DLE3600W got error code tE1 and I replaced thermistor 6323EL2001B and it didn’t help. Going to replace main PCB
