HUMIDITY SENSOR ERROR
Cause
If dryer is not completely cool, HS error may display when “installation check” or “Flow Sense” test (duct work flow test) is run.
Both Installation check and/or Flow Sense test must be run when unit is cold or results will not be accurate.
Flow Sense Test is looking for a temperature rise or lack of a temperature rise. The unit being operated prior to test and still warm defeats Flow Sense Test.
Solution
Measure resistance red wire to black wire sensor should read 550~600Ω

Older models will have a humidity sensor as pictured below.

If your LG dryer is a newer model, the Humidity Sensor is what the factory is now calling the Moisture Sensor. This error code will ONLY be displayed in the Install Mode if the sensor is shorted.
