Cause
Compressor failure.
Solution
Check compressor connectors, voltage and winding values, May require new compressor or Main PCB
Compressor Ohm Values will vary based on the compressor type installed in the unit. Older heat pump dryers had reciprocating compressors while newer versions now use BLDC Compressors. Information on how to test both styles is shown below…
The below example is for a heat pump dryer using an inverter BLDC Compressor 240Vac
Resistance : 2.56 ±0.3Ω (BLUE to RED)
Resistance : 2.56 ±0.3Ω (RED to BLACK)
Resistance : 2.56 ±0.3Ω (BLACK to BLUE)
Note: Be sure and check the wiring diagram for your specific model as wiring colors and pins could change per model.
The below wiring diagram is from model DLHX4072
Reciprocating Compressor resistance values are:
Yellow wire to Blue wire = 1.21 ±7％Ω
Yellow wire to White wire = 5.04 ±7％Ω
The voltage is 120Vac
