Vario Motor (Water spray diverter motor) has an error for not detecting that the motor is turning.
Solution
Check the motor circuit for proper 120 Volts ac and if no voltage then replace the Main PCB.
Check the vario motor for resistance on the motor windings for 2.7~4.0 Kohms and if out of range then replace the vario motor.
Solution
Check the vario micro switch for correct voltage 5Vdc and if Main PCB does not supply 5Vdc then replace the Main PCB.
Solution
Check the vario micro switch for correct continuity on the switch and if reads open when switch is activated then replace the micro switch.
DETAILS BELOW:
The vario switch is a simple open or closed switch. 5Vdc is read across the switch when it is in the open position and 0Vdc when it is in the closed position. In the example below check from NA8 (natural color connector 8 pin) at the main board from orange wire to brown wire. Example of wiring is from a newer style XD series LDF5545.
Activate test mode and check the variomotor circuit for proper 120 Volts ac and if no voltage then replace the Main PCB. Check the vario motor for resistance on the motor windings for 2.7~4.0 Kohms and if out of range then replace the variomotor. The example below is from LDF5545. In this example the neutral wire on the vario motor is the RED wire and the L1 120 volts ac wire is GRAY.

Please note I have discovered foreign object jammed in the diverter impellor inside the dishwasher causing vario motor not to turn and as result implementing a nE code
