An internal leak, or an issue with the Flood Safety Switch.
Solution
Check tub and hoses for damage, if no water or source of leak found, inspect Safety Switch.
DETAILS BELOW:
In the event of water in the base of the washer, an error code AE will be displayed, and the Drain Pump will turn on.
A broken wire/harness, or anything that gets under the float (insects…) can cause this error. If no water is found check for these issues. The switch is a normally open switch and sends a 5Vdc signal to the Main board.
