INFRARED SENSOR ERROR

Cause

IR Sensor is not detected. (Will only be displayed in test mode).

Solution

Check the connector to the tub lamp, (IR Sensor).

Check for 12Vdc (unplugged from harness, 5Vdc plugged in), coming from the Main PCB.

DETAILS BELOW:

Location

The Infrared sensor is part of the Lamp Assembly, and can be seen in the upper left of the door gasket. The wiring harness can be accessed from above with the top off.

Access the Lamp harness with the top removed.

The only way to really check this device is if you have 12Vdc at the harness (with it unplugged, 5.2 with it plugged in),

If the Lamp will not come on with the door open, this will be a simple clue of no voltage.

If you don’t have 12Vdc you will need to replace the Main PCB, if you do you will need to replace the Lamp Assembly.
