Cause
Temperature is abnormal
Solution
Check the sensor if its in range or at least is not “open” or “Shorted”
If the sensor is good replace the main PCB.
If the sensor is not good you will need to replace the entire Duct Assembly.
The location of the “Compressor Temp” sensor.
This sensor is located on the discharge line (ours was covered with a cloth) under the large metal brace.
To access the sensor, you would need to remove the long metal brace over the Compressor.
However, with the top of the unit off, you can easily check the status of the “Comp Temp” sensor from this connector.
The sensor for “Duct In” is now exposed.
With the top of the unit off, you can easily check the status of the “Duct In” sensor from this connector.
The sensor from this test point will read with the harness:
Plugged in = 21k
Unplugged = 260k
At room temperature, approximately 70 degrees. It also may be necessary to remove the wire retainers on the connector to get a good connection.
*If the sensor is determined to be bad, you will have to replace the whole Duct Assembly. If the sensor is good replace the Main PCB.
Note: If any part of the sealed system or sensors or blower located on the Duct Assembly is defective, you must replace the whole Duct Assembly.
