HEAT PUMP MODELS RESTRICTED FAN ERROR
Cause
The Dry Fan has tried to restart three times.
Solution
Check if the fan is restricted and can not move.
Replace the DC Harness, OR
Replace the Main PCB, OR
Replace the Dry Fan
DETAILS BELOW:
The Dry Fan is part of the base assembly and is located in the right rear corner. NOTE: This concerns models that have the fan separate from the main drive motor. The Main PCB is located on the base assembly left side.
Check each motor winding, from the Main PCB, for proper resistance range.
U to V = 15Ω ± 2Ω
V to W = 15Ω ± 2Ω
W to U = 15Ω ± 2Ω
If any winding is out of range then replace the motor. If the main board does not produce voltage then replace the main board.
Colors of wires are usually BLUE, RED & BLACK. Colors of motor wires may vary but will be the same motor winding values.
U to V = 15Ω ± 2Ω
V to W = 15Ω ± 2Ω
W to U = 15Ω ± 2Ω
